Mike Delloro
Mike Delloro is the founder of both the Texoma Lacrosse Club in Sherman, Texas and the Durant Lacrosse Association in Durant, Oklahoma. Mike is also the co-founder and coach of Outlaws Lacrosse, a high school select travel lacrosse academy in North Texas, Southern Oklahoma, and Kansas. Mike is the former Head Coach of the Varsity Shawnee Lacrosse Club in Shawnee, Oklahoma. In 2015-2016, Mike was the Associate Head Coach for the University of Oklahoma Sooners Men’s Lacrosse team. Currently, Mike serves as an Advisor and Head Coach of Southeastern Oklahoma State University Savage Storm Lacrosse program.
Mike has more than 20 years of lacrosse experience as a player and coach. As a coach, Mike has more than eleven (11) years of lacrosse experience at the youth, middle school, high school, and college levels. Mike is a U.S. Lacrosse Level 3 Certified Lacrosse Coach. He is also a Canadian Lacrosse Association Level 3 Certified Lacrosse Coach.

David Diaz
David Diaz is a co-founder and coach of Texas Heat. David has more than a decade of lacrosse coaching experience. Over the years, David has served as a coach and program administrator for several lacrosse programs in the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex area, including Lovejoy Lacrosse, North Texas Outlaws, and Plano United Lacrosse. David has coached both girls’ and boys’ lacrosse teams of all different grade levels from kindergarten up to Varsity High School. David is a U.S. Lacrosse Level 3 Certified Men’s Coach, a Level 2 Certified Women’s Coach, and a Level 2 Certified Program Administrator. David is one of only a handful of individuals that hold such certifications in Texas.
In addition to coaching, David has organized and run numerous girls’ and boys’ lacrosse camps, skills clinics, tournaments, and programs throughout the Dallas/Fort Worth Metroplex and southern Oklahoma area.
Coach
Emma Lambert
Emma Lambert is the Head Coach of our 14U Texas Heat team. Emma is a native Texan from Plano, Texas. Emma brings a wealth of knowledge and enthusiasm to the Texas Heat program. Emma currently attends Oklahoma University where she plays midfield for the Sooners women’s lacrosse team. Emma also serves as the Vice President of the Sooners women’s lacrosse team. During her time at Oklahoma University, she has earned academic honors, including being named to the Dean’s List.
Emma played for Plano Premiere while in high school. She was named team captain her senior year. Following her junior season, Emma received All-State Attacker honors. Emma’s team also made appearances in the Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League state championship playoffs in 2017 (semi-finals) and 2018 (state championship runner-up). While at Plano Premiere, Emma served as an assistant coach for the club’s youth lacrosse teams.
Coach
Morgan Alexander
Morgan Alexander is the Head Coach of the Texas Heat High School team. Morgan is originally from Adams, New York and has more than 15 years of experience as a player and coach. Morgan brings a tremendous amount of energy, passion, and knowledge of the game from having played at the highest level.
Morgan is a graduate of Syracuse University where she played attack for the Syracuse women’s lacrosse team under legendary coach Gary Gait. While at Syracuse, she earned numerous academic honors, including being named to the Athletic Director’s Honor Roll multiple times and to the IWLCA Academic Honor Roll. Morgan’s team also made appearances in the NCAA Women’s Lacrosse Tournament each year from 2017-2021. Prior to Syracuse University, Morgan attended South Jefferson High School, where she earned High School All American honors.
Morgan has been actively involved in teaching and coaching lacrosse throughout the years. Prior to joining Texas Heat, she served as a coach for the M&D Orlando lacrosse club and the Monkey Elite lacrosse club in Minnesota. In addition to playing and coaching, Morgan has organized and run numerous girls’ lacrosse camps and clinics across the country.
Coach
Courtney Counce
Courtney Counce is the Head Coach of our 12U Texas Heat team. She has more than 14 years of lacrosse experience as a player and coach. Courtney is extremely passionate about helping grow the game by providing opportunities for girls and young ladies to learn and excel in lacrosse.
Courtney grew up in Dallas and began playing lacrosse in high school while attending Ursuline Academy of Dallas. While at Ursuline, where she was a defender, she was a two-time team captain and a three-time varsity letter recipient. During her junior year, Courtney received Academic All-American honors and was named to the All-State team. She was also a member of the US Lacrosse Women’s National Tournament Team her sophomore and junior years.
Courtney is a graduate of the College of William & Mary in Williamsburg, Virginia. While at William & Mary, she was an attacker on the Tribe’s women’s lacrosse team. She was named team captain her senior year. Courtney was also named to the Dean’s List and received the One Tribe Award.
Courtney has been actively involved in teaching and coaching lacrosse throughout the years. She’s coached lacrosse at the youth, middle school, and high school levels. Fun fact: Courtney’s first collegiate goal was scored on an 8-meter shot with no goalie.

Angie Ruiz
Angie Ruiz is the Assistant Coach of our 14U Texas Heat team. Angie is a native Texan with a tremendous passion for lacrosse. Angie currently attends Reinhardt University where she plays attack for the Eagles women’s lacrosse team. During her first two years at Reinhardt University, Angie’s team were the 2x NAIA AAC Conference Champions.
Angie played lacrosse for Prosper High School where she was a 3x team captain from her sophomore to senior year. Her senior year at Prosper High School, Angie was a member of the DII State Runner-Up team during the Texas Girls High School Lacrosse League state championship playoffs. In 2021, Angie received All-District Attacker honors.

Ainslie Reynolds
Ainslie Reynolds is the Assistant Coach of our 12U Texas Heat team. Ainslie was born and raised in Texas. Her infectious energy and kindhearted spirit provide a great learning environment for our young Texas Heat players. Ainslie currently attends Quincy University where she plays attack and midfield for the Hawks women’s lacrosse team. Ainslie was a defender while on the Rockwall High School lacrosse team. She was named team captain her senior year.
Frequently Asked Questions
What age level team is the Texas Heat?
Texas Heat has two (3) age level girls lacrosse teams. One team is girls High School level team, with players whom are Freshman, Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors. The second team is a girls 14U level team, with players whom are in 7th, and 8th grade. The third team is a girls 12U level team, with players whom are in 4th, 5th, and 6th grade.
Can anyone play on the Texas Heat team?
The Texas Heat program is open to all youth girls in the North Texas and South Oklahoma areas who are in 4th-6th grade for the current school year for our 12U team; 7th & 8th grade for the current school year for our 14U team; and in 9th – 12th grade for the current school year for our High School team. Because this is a Summer and Fall travel team that competes in the competitive tournament bracket, players with lacrosse playing experience are preferred. Depending on the number of girls interested in playing on the Texas Heat teams, open try-outs for the teams may take place.
How many Texas Heat teams will there be?
Currently, the Texas Heat program has three (3) teams – a High School team; a 14U team; and a 12U team.
When is the Texas Heat Season?
Our primary season is during the Summer. The Summer season typically begins in April and ends in July. Our Fall season typically begins in October and ends in early December.
When does the Texas Heat Season Start?
The Texas Heat Summer season normally begins in April. The Texas Heat Fall season is normally October and November. Tryouts are held throughout the year.
On what days does the Texas Heat team practice? How long are practices?
Practices are held twice a week during the Summer and once a week during the Fall. Summer practices are held on Sundays and one day during the week. Fall practices are held on Sundays. Each practice is 2 hours.
Where does the Texas Heat team practice?
Practices are held at Willow Springs Middle School, located at 1101 W. Lucas Rd., Lucas (Allen), Texas 75002. Our back-up practice field is located at Sloan Creek Intermediate School, located at 440 Country Club Rd, Fairview, TX 75069.
How much are the registration fees for the Texas Heat lacrosse team?
Registration fees are adjusted each year. Player registration fees are determined based on the number of tournaments the team will travel to, the number of practices, the team the player plays on, and which tournaments the player will participate in. The registration fee includes all practices and the player registration for the tournaments our teams will play in. Are there any other additional fees that I am required to pay?
Yes, there are three additional fee/expenses. First, all Texas Heat players are required to be a member of U.S. Lacrosse. The fee is $30. U.S. Lacrosse membership is good for 1 year (beginning from the date of original registration). Registration is easy. More information about U.S. Lacrosse membership can be found on their website here.
If your daughter is already a U.S. Lacrosse member in current standing, then there is no need to re-register. PLEASE MAKE SURE YOUR DAUGHTER’S U.S. LACROSSE MEMBERSHIP IS CURRENT. You will need your daughter’s US Lacrosse membership number and the expiration date during the registration process.
Second, all Texas Heat players will be required to purchase a team uniform. The team uniform packet will consist of a game jersey, skirt, practice pinnie, practice shorts, and socks. The cost for the uniform packet is $160.
Finally, the player registration fee does not include travel or lodging expenses for the tournaments. Players will be responsible for their own travel and lodging expenses.
How do I order a Texas Heat team uniform?
During the registration process, each new player will purchase their uniform packet. During the first week of practice, information on sizing will be gathered. Then a team order will be placed with the uniform vendor.
